In April, we celebrated National Volunteer Appreciation Week by honoring and thanking the many people that volunteer for the Catholic Community Foundation all year long.
The HelpLine Center, which serves as a link between great community volunteers and the nonprofit agencies who need them, set out to honor volunteers with the Spirit of Volunteerism Awards. In 2021, they focused on volunteers that stepped up during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Our staff here at CCF was honored to nominate and award three special women with the Spirit of Volunteerism Award. They include:
We also thanked our volunteers by sending special cards to each of them. We are so thankful for the wonderful people who give their time to support many ministries in our diocese. Currently, the Catholic Community Foundation has a variety of volunteer roles to fill. In addition to serving on Bishop’s Charity Event committees or volunteering at events, we are in need of office volunteers who would love to share those gifts back to support the ministries of the church and may have experience and expertise in the following categories:
- Web Development
- Writing Copy
- Database Management
- Raiser’s Edge/NXT
- Event Donation Solicitation
- General Office Experience
If you have experience in any of those roles or know someone who does, feel free to reach out to Krista Vandersnick, the Volunteer Coordinator at kvandersnick@ccfesd.org or 605-988-3769.
