Christmas at the Cathedral

Christmas at the Cathedral 2020

“That’s My God!”

A SPECIAL 90-MINUTE VIDEO PRODUCTION

Due to Covid-19, Christmas at the Cathedral 2020, “That’s My God!” is being presented in a specially produced video. Shot inside the beautiful Cathedral of St Joseph, cinematographer, Dalton Coffey, has spent three months capturing powerful stories of Christmas hope. These inspiring personal stories, along with highlights from musical performances of past Christmas at The Cathedral concerts, tell this year’s story, “That’s My God!”

“There has never been a question of whether or not we would have Christmas at The Cathedral in 2020,” said Mark Conzemius, Producer/Director and President of the Catholic Community Foundation for Eastern SD. “Christmas is an incredible story for all time – and especially for this very time. Of all the circumstances and ways in which to incarnate into the human race, God chose to come into our humanity in the midst of crisis and uncertainty, just like 2020.

“THAT’S MY GOD!”

“The first Christmas was anything but easy and comfortable. This is what and how God personally chose to come into our world – and most importantly why – God personally came into our world,” added Conzemius. “As a vulnerable, homeless baby. Born into a simple family, to ostracized parents, as homeless refugees. God fully shared our human experience. His sufferings were real.

“We find hope gazing in the image of the baby Jesus in the manger, Emmanuel – God with us – knowing that He is with me, even in my sufferings,” said Conzemius. “Even though it is not live this year, I believe audiences will be moved and inspired by these amazing stories of Christmas hope.”
