The Catholic Community Foundation for Eastern South Dakota and Mount Marty University in Yankton, SD recently announced a new partnership. The foundation and the university both recognize a great opportunity to support friends and alumni of this region and to connect them to opportunities that will allow them to explore their faith and make a difference in the lives of our community and students.
Ashley Gullikson, the former Director of Alumni Relations at MMU, has been chosen to fill this new role. She is very excited to help create relationships in and around the Yankton area. “I feel extremely blessed to have the opportunity to help connect people with their values and passions and to explore the joy of giving in their estate and planned giving goals.”
Growing up in Wagner, attending the University of South Dakota, and living and working in Yankton for over six years, Gullikson is no stranger to this area. “Being able to enhance the community and education and to strengthen the Catholic faith in Yankton and the surrounding towns brings me so much happiness and gratitude.”
“Mount Marty is proud of our Catholic, Benedictine identity and our 84-year history of being a school for the Lord’s service, “Mount Marty President Marcus Long said. “We are excited for this new partnership, and we look forward to working with the Diocese of Sioux Falls and the Catholic Community Foundation for Eastern South Dakota to continue strengthening the Church on the prairie.”
“The Catholic Community Foundation is pleased to partner with Mount Marty University”, said Mark Conzemius, President of the Catholic Community Foundation for Eastern South Dakota. “Ashley looks forward to working with the pastors, parishes & parishioners living in the southern part of our diocese, helping people grow deeper in love with Christ by sharing their gifts in gratitude to God.”
