About the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House

The Bishop Dudley Hospitality House in Sioux Falls, South Dakota offers daytime and overnight emergency shelter for the homeless and vulnerable. For overnight services, there is room for 80 men, 20 women and seven families at the House, located at 101 N. Indiana Ave. A wide range of other social service providers offers additional essential services aimed at providing a hand up to those in need.  The most recent statistics indicate that more than 600 men, women, and children in Sioux Falls are without a home. The Bishop Dudley Hospitality House offers a safe, secure and warm place to start the road back to a more stable, long-term way of living.  Located in downtown Sioux Falls, the facility is within walking distance of several agencies that provide programs for the needy, supporting the proven plan to work in partnership with existing agencies to coordinate many services under a single roof. 

Bishop Dudley is excited to announce the opening of the Bishop Dudley Center for Families, coming soon. The Center for Families will house ten families in a safe, secure location in the former Children’s Inn at 409 N. Western. The Center will have ten total apartment-style units, along with kitchen and laundry facilities. With the additional space, programming will expand to include life skill classes such as financial literacy, renter’s rights, healthy living, and other vital education. The Center for Families will allow Bishop Dudley to serve even more families experiencing homelessness with dignity, respect, and compassion.
