Catholic Community Foundation’s Success in Parish Initiatives

Catholic Community Foundation is blessed to be a part of two successful parish initiatives

From time to time the CCFESD has been invited to help individual parishes to address capital needs. 

“A Grateful Eucharistic Parish”

Fr. Paul Rutten and parishioners at St. Mary’s-Sioux Falls began conversations in 2021 to address the pastoral needs of parishioners and much-needed deferred maintenance of the campus facilities.  Through parish leadership and the Catholic Community Foundation’s support, a bold vision to grow as A Grateful Eucharistic Parish began. Today, the parish has secured over $6.5M to address Deferred Maintenance, hire Nancy Werner, Director of discipleship and evangelization, to be partially supported through a Faith Formation Endowment, and to provide a suitable office and rectory as determined through the Set Ablaze Pastoral Planning Process. More importantly, the process has developed community and further engaged individual parishioners in the mission of their parish. Thanks be to God and the many parishioners who are growing as A Grateful Eucharistic Parish through their joyful generosity.

“Cathedral InSpires”

Through the generosity of many over the past two decades, the Cathedral of St Joseph has been undergoing a comprehensive restoration to continue its mission as the Mother Church of the Diocese of Sioux Falls and to ensure its legacy of faith as a beacon of hope for generations to come. The next phase, called the “InSpires Campaign,” has surpassed the $10M stretch goal.  Over 300 households from across East River SD and beyond have provided funding for a world-class organ, a restored rectory of historical consequences, along with endowments that will expand programs for music and liturgy, and ensure the upkeep of the organ and rectory, all with the intention of giving glory to God as we each journey toward heaven.  To learn more or consider making a gift visit https://ccfesd.org/inspires-campaign/
